About the collection
The Leinweber Giles Collection is a private collection founded by Regina Leinweber and David S. Giles to preserve and collect works that hold deep personal meaning for the family. Guided by individual and shared affinities, the collection encompasses a diversity of artistic expression, with a particular affinity for Abstract Expressionism, as well as historical objects that reflect the family's cultural, aesthetic, and emotional sensibilities.
More than a heritage collection, the Leinweber Giles Collection is a living testament to the relationship between people and the objects that inspire them—a constant invitation to look closely, feel deeply, and think openly.
David S. Giles and Regina Leinweber are a couple united not only by marriage, but also by a shared vision of art, beauty, and creation as a form of cultural transformation. Based in Portugal, they have successfully woven, through their distinct yet complementary professional backgrounds, a shared project that unites aesthetic sensibility, strategy, and a deep connection with contemporary expression.
David Santillán Giles (Mexico City, 1988) is the founder of Santo de Piedra, an atelier that has redefined mezcal as a luxury object, fusing artisanal tradition with a curatorial approach. His sensitivity for art and his experience in museography and cultural management inform his perspective as a collector and promoter of contemporary artists, particularly in Mexico and Europe.
Regina Leinweber ( Pawlodar, 1989), of German origin, brings a solid background in banking and private equity, as well as a business perspective focused on innovation and efficiency. As the founder of Addgai, she has promoted technological solutions applied to everyday life, always with an eye to the future and the humanization of technology.
Together, they represent a new generation of collectors and patrons who not only acquire works, but also accompany and promote them. Their commitment to art is intimate, honest, and active—a natural extension of their shared life.
